LED manufacturer Unity Opto exhibits solar LED street lights

Taiwan Dongbei Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. is one of the few LED manufacturers to exhibit solar LED street lights at the LED Lighting Exhibition in Taiwan. But the products on display are more like design samples than traditional street lights in terms of height and brightness.

The lighting section of the street light consists of two main components: a white LED light source and a solar panel. The LED light source uses 12 white LEDs, and the luminous flux reaches 1800lm at 36W. The solar panel is the main power supply for the whole street lamp. If you store enough power, you can work continuously for 5 days without light, and work 10 hours a day. . The life of these two components is 50,000 hours and 15 years respectively.

Dongbei said that the products on display were samples designed to cope with the exhibition. All components involved in streetlights, including solar panels and lighting components, can be custom sized. If customers demand higher power, some discrete lighting components can be combined with more solar panels.

The company said that the sample supply to customers in the US and Taiwan has started and the feedback is good. Dongbei is optimistic about its deployment, especially in the US market. Assuming that Canada has begun to replace traditional street lights with white LEDs, and the United States will follow closely, Dongbei expects the relevant market to enter a boom period within five years.
