Guangdong's 2010 LED street light qualified rate is less than 50%

The Guangdong Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau recently announced the results of the 2010 LED street light sampling test. The results show that the qualified rate of sampled batches of LED street light products is only 44%, which is 11.6 percentage points lower than that of 2009.

The scope of the spot check included LED street lights and LED street light source controller products produced by 35 companies in 7 cities including Dongguan, Foshan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Zhuhai and Jiangmen.

Among them, Guoxing Optoelectronics and Zhaoxin Lighting Co., Ltd. have failed the product. The product specifications of Guoxing Optoelectronics are NS-LD-N98 (A-NPE) and NS-LD-N154 (A-NPE) respectively; and the unqualified product specifications of Zhaoxin are RFLEDL220/105-WW and RFLEDL220/210- WW.

National Star products are mainly surge (impact) immunity test and radiation disturbance have not passed, and Zhaoxin products are classified as unqualified due to radiation disturbance and power terminal disturbance voltage link failure.

It is understood that the unsatisfactory immunity of the surge (shock) will result in poor lightning protection performance of the LED street light, and the normal operation of the equipment cannot be well protected during thunderstorms. The unsatisfactory radiated electromagnetic disturbance will cause the radio function or effect of the car radio equipment to be affected when the road vehicle is passing through the road section under the street light.
