High-performance LEDs ensure that the light source only illuminates the target range and avoids illuminating the home or the night sky.
The lighting system developed by the team has good adaptability to different street lighting designs. Sun Qingcheng pointed out that the design can flexibly adapt to different lighting needs while maintaining extremely high optical efficiency, so it can display high energy efficiency and uniform lighting characteristics in all kinds of street lanes and roads.
In addition to reducing light and glare, the new lighting design has energy savings. Sun Qingcheng said that high-speed LEDs can save an additional 10 to 50 compared to traditional street lamps, and the module consists of only four parts, which has the advantage of assembly.
It is reported that the research results were published in the American journal OpticsExpress. Sun Qingcheng said that they will complete the prototype development of the street lamp within three to six months, and hope to officially put it into production next year.
